This past year I have traveled a lot more than I ever have before. Before traveling as much as I do now, I wish I knew exactly what needed in my carry on and what I could throw in my checked luggage. If you’re like me, then you don’t like carrying a bunch of things from airport to airport. I’m here to help you enjoy your next flight comfortably, by only carrying the essentials.

Comfortable Items

When sitting up straight for a long period of time, your neck begins to get tired. If you’re stuck in the middle or have an aisle seat, you don’t really have anything to rest your head on. Luckily, there are some really great neck pillows on the market.

Beauty On Board

Hydration is a MUST! Due to the cabinpressure and a massive reduction in humidity levels, your skin becomes even more dry and tight than normal. My favorite way to stay hydrated on an airplane is by using a face mask. The “Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask” has been my lifesaver. Ironic name, right? All you have to do is put it on as a moisturizer. You can put this on for ten minutes then wipe it away or keep it on for the duration of your flight. When you go to take your post flight selfie, you’ll notice that your skin is super hydrated and glowing. Best part is, its great for ALL skin types. I cannot leave my house without making sure this mask is in my carry on.

Tuning into Yourself

The last thing I make sure that is in my carry on is headphones and a good book (the latest Vogue Magazine for me). Traveling can be daunting as it is, and having noisy neighbors or hearing a baby cry can make it much worse. I know that if I don’t pack my headphones, I’m going to have a pretty rough flight. Besides, who doesn’t like listening to their favorite song on repeat.
